The custom process allows our clients to create, by hand, a carpet that fits their individual needs. Our years of experience can help facilitate the selection of pattern, scale, weave, and materials. The goal is to actualize a carpet that reflects the unique character and style of the individual.

  Choose from hundreds of existing patterns, or bring us a design idea we can
  help you translate to a carpet.

• size
  Custom carpets can be ordered in any size or shape. Looms are large enough
  to accommodate rugs up to 24ft x 30ft.

• color
  Hundreds of yarn colors are available to choose from. Tweed colors together
  for added texture.

• knot count
  Knot counts range from 40 to 150 knots per inch. The higher the knot count
  the thinner the rug, and the more detail we can achieve.

• materials
  Our custom carpets are woven with Tibetan wool, Chinese silk, hemp or a
  combination of all three.

Lawson Watercolor
This is an example of a recent project we did from an original watercolor painting. This carpet was designed by Karen Lawson, of Lawson Design Studio, and woven by Dorje handwoven rugs.

A computer rendering was created to show layout of color, pattern, and scale. The ribbon design
is silk, and the remaining field color is wool.

The woven corner sample arrives in approximately 6-8 weeks. We always recommend ordering
a corner sample first to avoid any disappointments.
