These Berber carpets were originally woven by the Beni Ourain peoples from the Rif Mountains of Morocco. Colors vary from neutral shades to intense hues, with designs ranging from ordered geometric shapes to a more free-form, expressive pattern. We carry both new and vintage.

Persian Gabbehs

The beauty of Gabbeh carpets is their departure from the classic Persian style, to one of more freedom and natural expression. Through the deliberate distortions of line and color, and the simplified use of pattern, the weaver increases the emotional impact of their art.
